Hi, see below for how my lessons run
In-person lessons:
- Try and bring a notepad and pen with you. If you don't have any paper/pens or forget, don't worry, I can provide some. The best way to learn is pen and paper - not only does it make working out answers easier but the brain also remembers things better when you associate information with an action
- On the first lesson, we'll first gauge your strengths and weaknesses in the subject. I'll keep note of topics that you struggle with
- At the end of each lesson we'll plan for the next lesson regarding which topics you want to go through. It's best to start on your weak topics
- Each lesson, we'll start with questions on previous topics we went through to re-jog your memory and help you remember better
- Once you're ready, we'll start doing timed questions from exam papers for your specification
Online lessons:
Online lessons will run more or less the same as in-person. I like to use Microsoft teams but if you prefer a different software, let me know. Make sure to have a notepad and pen for online lessons because I won't be able to provide you with any through the screen! Try and find a quiet place to open up your laptop/ computer so you aren't easily disturbed/ distracted.
I don't mind how long it takes us to get through a topic, as long as you understand it well (I don't watch the time!)
