Hi there, I am a registered practising Specialist Biomedical Scientist with over 20 years in the profession. I privately tutor all ages from 5 to adulthood in Maths. Maths shouldn’t be frightening and I try to help build confidence in topics students may be struggling with. I’ll create tailor made lesson plans, set out a clear structure for learning but in a relaxed format. We will go through past papers geared towards the level of learning required, look at specific examples and try to overcome obstacles together to help build confidence. After every session I will set a small task for the student or handout for them to look over, ready for a recap for the next session. Sessions will be dependent on individual’s needs. Some student may require/ want additional support or longer than an hour especially in the build up to tests or exams but everyone is different. I am happy to run tutor sessions at the tutee’s home with a parent/ guardian present or online via Teams or Zoom.
