Shannon Moore

I am an experienced educator and counsellor with a strong background in supporting young people’s academic and emotional development. With a Master’s in Counselling (specialising in Advanced Practice) and extensive experience working with students in both individual and group settings, I am passionate about fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

As a Child and Adolescent therapist and School Counsellor, my role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to create strategies that enhance students' learning and engagement, skills directly applicable to online tutoring.

My approach to tutoring is student-centered, adaptive, and engaging. I understand the importance of creating a supportive virtual learning space and tailor my teaching to suit different learning styles. With strong communication skills, a deep understanding of student needs, and a passion for education, I am confident in my ability to provide high-quality online tutoring that empowers students to achieve their goals.

In my previous roles, I have worked as an alternative provision teaching, catering to students who face challenges accessing mainstream education due to mental health issues, illness, or behavioural complexities. This role involved close collaboration with local authorities and school bodies to organize suitable alternative provision tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. I ensured the punctual delivery of full-time education outside the traditional schooling framework.
