My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s unique learning needs. I typically begin by assessing your current language abilities through a brief conversation to understand your strengths and areas for improvement. From there, I develop a personalized lesson plan that incorporates reading, writing, speaking, and listening exercises, ensuring a comprehensive approach to language learning. To keep the lessons fresh and exciting, I often incorporate real-world examples, such as current events, as well as fun games to make the learning process enjoyable and relatable. I also like to use old and new media (i.e. movies, shows, books) to help students feel immersed in the culture.
Each session focuses on building your confidence, whether you're looking to improve conversational English, grammar, or writing skills. I believe that language learning is most effective when students are actively engaged, so I encourage a lot of interaction and participation. As a patient and supportive tutor, I work at your pace, ensuring that you feel comfortable and motivated during every lesson.
To reinforce the concepts we cover during class, I will also assign homework to help solidify your understanding and allow you to practice between lessons. These assignments are carefully chosen to be both challenging and enjoyable, ensuring steady progress. My experience in cross-cultural communication, combined with my studies in International Affairs and current master's program at the London School of Economics, means I bring a well-rounded perspective to teaching. Ultimately, my goal is to help you not only learn English but feel confident using it in real-life situations, whether academically, professionally, or socially.
