Shannah Chapman

Hi there! My name is Shannah and I am 30 years old.

I have been teaching for just over 2 years now and I specialise in teaching English as a foreign language.

I would eventually like to teach music, such as singing lessons as well as Maths and music theory. I have previously taught adults as well as nursery children - I like to make my lessons fun and enjoyable for both the student and myself. I have a background in music, dance and drama.

I am very patient, very laid back, reliable and understanding but I will adhere to lesson plans and make sure that both the student and myself are getting the most out of each lesson.

Each student is different and will learn differently and so I take pride in structuring each lesson to that individuals needs.

I am dedicated, resourceful and a goal-driven tutor with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every pupil I teach.

I feel good and happy when my students also feel good and happy because they have learned and understood the key points of the lessons which makes allows them to feel more confident.

My lesson plans are structured more to the individual themselves because I feel that, that is the best way to get the most out of the lesson and the student. I will firstly go through the students goals and what they want to get out of the lessons - what they’re hoping to achieve etc - I will then focus on planning the lessons around those goals.
