I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics, a Level 5 CELTA as well as Level 5 DTLLS Teaching qualification. I have been an examiner in GCSE Mathematics and Accounting with CIE and OCR for six years and am currently pursuing my MSc Mathematics at Birkbeck, University of London.
I teach online using a sophisticated whiteboard capable of displaying images, videos and GIFs as well as multicoloured pens, pencil, highlighters and measurement tools. I can instantly display worksheets, textbooks as well as any questions the students send me via the chat or even WhatsApp. I always ask the student if they have anything in particular they would like to look at to keep up to date at school and dedicate some time to that, but I also have a lesson planned with long term goals in mind. I really enjoy bringing out student’s natural ability, previous knowledge and sense of humour when working together, so that they leave the lesson feeling more confident not just in their topic knowledge, but also their own ability to learn and progress.
I will explain a concept as many times and as many different ways as it takes to help you understand it and if you are not understanding a concept, that is always my responsibility to explain it to you in a way that you will.
