I have 6 months of experience as a tutor and from that i have learnt how to tailor my lessons to the needs of the student. I will be pre-planning my lessons so we have a set structure to follow in our time together and to keep the student engaged i will ensure to ask them questions throughout to make sure they are understanding the concepts being taught. My lesson will generally include either a small test or quiz to refresh previously taught material and this would make sure the student is revisiting topics and refreshing their memory. I would like to be a friendly tutor who is approachable so the student isn’t hesitant to ask me if they need help or don’t understand a topic without feeling embarrassed.
