I have been teaching at a home school for 5 years. I have been doing private mathematics tutoring for 2 years now.
In the first few lessons, I like to gauge the level of understanding that the student has in mathematics so that I am able to tailor future lessons to their capabilities. Once that has been established, we will begin working on the topics that the students struggles with the most, in order to build their confidence and better their understanding of the work.
I use a variety of sources to supplement my lessons and provide students with ample examples and practice sums. My motto is “practice makes progress”. My aim is to have students improve their skills with each lesson, regardless of how small the progress is. We aim to constantly improve on the students skills and capabilities.
