He is a primary student and I’ve been using applied behaviors analysis approaches on him to encourage him to do better in his studies and this did improve his engagement and understanding.
I also founded Swansea Public Speaking Society and was president until last year. I taught members how to be more confident and speak their mind in front of an audience. Everything in life is a skill and no one was perfect from day one.
Similarly, learning is a skill, and there are various ways to improve it such as using Pomodoro breaks or even Pareto’s principle of 20/80 split, which we will discuss further when we get into the material.
Overall, I aim to create a safe space for my students to be able to think creatively and be able to learn more. Because an anxious brain doesn’t absorb well, so step one would be to remove anxiety.
