Shahid Mian

I am a passionate teacher and mentor. I have a first class honours degree in Applied Biology and a PhD in Cancer biology. I have privately taught students to GCSE level. I was a former University Senior Lecturer educating and guiding students at various levels including undergraduate, Masters and PhD. I have worked in industry start-up companies and tertiary care hospital environments. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience and would like to impart that to the next generation.

I was an Assistant Professor of Personalised Medicine and learned that treatments must tailored towards the individual. The same paradigm is also applied to my students during tutelage. Students will have different levels of understanding, experience and core knowledge. I firmly believe that excellence in teaching resides with the tutor to identify these key aspects and modify their teaching practices for every individual student.
