"Creative Musical Thinking" is a series of lessons I designed after I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Master's degree in scoring for film, TV, and video games. This is basically designed for those who would like to create and produce high quality music with any level of knowledge of music.
The focus of this course is finding the "voice" of the student as an artist, helping them to create their original music with any facilities they have available. I help students come up with nice and catchy melodies, and record and produce their short piece of music. They can record their own sound set and use their very special "color palette", or simply use any available instrument, or even with their voice! I insist on keeping and maintaining each individual's specific voice and train them. During the lessons we listen to different genres of music and compose short pieces in their preferred genres every week. I help them analyze the music they hear and detect different elements of the music.
The materials that I teach include: working with Sibelius notation software, Digital Performer, Logic, or Cubase as DAW, and pro tools basic for recording and production purposes.
