During my lessons, I provide material for written notes to be made, through the form of PowerPoints, or dictation.

I check the understanding of my students regularly by going through practise questions (or essays depending on the subject area) and I mark and provide feedback on these. I also make my own exam papers for students to undertake in timed conditions to allow them to improve their learning under pressurised conditions, which I find helps all of my students focus when it comes to exam situations at school.

I will adapt to the strengths and weaknesses of the student, and help with improving revision techniques and learning skills too, focusing on areas that the student feels less confident or has upcoming tests for, etc. My teaching style is very adaptable

I used to be a tutor at Kumon for three years, and have since taken up my own private tutoring, so have over 5 years of tutoring experience. This experience covers teaching students of all age ranges, from 11+ primary school students, all the way up to Year 13 A-Level students. I also have some experience teaching students with mild learning difficulties and very good at adapting to these extra requirements.
