Studying the past is not about date and memorization because the past is an important tool every human needs. As such I used discussion and question and answer method to help students understand the past and critical assess it. I have been teaching African History for the past one and half years. And my contact with students have been awesome. Thus, they always show how my lessons should be adjust to fit their needs. I view of this my lessons are students sensitive. Thus, students have 50% say about what they want the lesson to be. My experience has always been with secondary and university students. Experience has showed that my students must be active participants. The lesson involves oral tutoring, use of teaching and learning materials especially audiovisual. This is to help bring the past to live p in order to help student experience how the past was like.
