I hold Bsc in Mathematics and Msc in Mathematical finance from Ghana and United kingdom respectively.I have over 20yrs of teaching experience of which 12yrs in teaching IGCSE (Additional mathematics/Extended Mathematics ) and advanced level Mathematics specifically pure Mathematics.I am currently pursuing post graduate certificate in education PGCE(MATHEMATICS) at St Marys University Twickenham London.I have chalked some many success in teaching the CAIE curriculum ie cambridge assessmeny International Examination whilst with my previous school from 2010 to August 2022.We were voted the overall best CAIE School continuously for four years .We got the overall best Alevel mathematics student in 2016,and we had the best IGCSE best Mathemastics student in that same year.British council is the awarding Institution .The name of my previous school was East airport International.
I will begin my lesson with a retrieval practice. I will introduce the keys words emanating from the topic.A question will be carefully selected to explain the concept. Similar questions will be selected where I will ask the students alot of questions leading to the answer. The student will now solve varieties of questions to assess the understanding.I will move next to assessment for learning to check if the objectives of the topic is met I will assign homework.I will then conclude with a plenary. Where learning objective is not met I will repeat the topic using a different approach.I will scaffold my questions and try to introduce the material in a sequencing manner and avoid overloading introduction of new concepts to secure the concept .More worked examples will be introduced.
