In my lessons, I focus on creating a friendly and engaging atmosphere where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions. I believe that learning a new language should be interactive and enjoyable, so I use a mix of activities to keep things fresh and exciting. Each lesson is designed to meet the individual needs of the student, whether they are just beginning to learn Russian or preparing for exams like GCSEs or A-Levels.
The structure of my lessons usually starts with a warm-up, where we review what we learned in the previous session. This is followed by new material, which could be grammar, vocabulary, or a reading comprehension exercise, depending on the student’s level. I also incorporate a lot of speaking practice, as I believe it's one of the best ways to improve fluency and confidence. We might role-play, debate, or have conversations on topics that interest the student. This helps them not only practice their language skills but also enjoy the learning process.
For students preparing for exams, I focus on all aspects of the test—speaking, writing, reading, and listening. We go through past papers, practice specific exam techniques, and work on any weak areas to ensure they feel confident and ready for their exams.
My background in teaching has given me a solid understanding of how to keep students engaged, and I always adapt my lessons to suit their learning style. Whether they need extra help with grammar, want to improve their conversational skills, or are focused on passing an exam, my lessons are flexible, interactive, and always focused on making progress. I strive to make learning enjoyable while ensuring that students achieve their language goals.
