For the lesson, this following steps give how I proceed.
-background assessments
-announce the targets or purpose of the lesson
-as introduction, provide applied exercises related to problems in real life solved by the student (my work being to give some indices to enable to reach the solution)
- establish the results from the applied exercises (done by the student himself, the tutor being just the facilitator)
Note that at this steps, it would be more easier for the student to make a link between the applied exercises and the following mains results of the lesson
- give mains results of the lesson as theorems lemma, ... (Done by the tutor)
- give now an example related to the mains results ( solved by the student in order to be sure of his comprehension of the lesson)
-provides exercises which will enable the complete mastery of the taught notion.
The lesson is more interactive because I always think that student should be at the center of the knowledge and the tutor should be just the facilitator of his access to the knowledge
*Experience:
As a PhD holder in mathematics, I have a lot of knowledge and experience in the domain. I have been lecturing and tutoring mathematics for more than 10 years in Africa, France and now in England, I keep making research in this area which always keep me updated in new results, new Technics used in mathematics. As it is well known, who stop leaning should stop teaching too,
I currently work as a research associate in math and cryptography as I mentioned before. This means that I am constantly looking for knowledge. Therefore, I pretend being able to meet all the requirements for this position if the opportunity is given to me.
