My name’s Serena and I’m a GCSE English and History tutor and A-Level English Language tutor.

I’ve been tutoring for two years in English and History - from the likes of A-Level, GCSEs and even entrance exams to Eton. I studied both English and History at GCSE achieving grades 7s and 8s and went on to study English Language, History and Politics at A-Level, achieving Bs-A*s. I am currently studying Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham. So over the years, English has played a huge part in my subjects.

I have taught many students who find English incredibly difficult, whether it’s because English is their second language or because they struggle with dyslexia. I feel experienced in helping those in different circumstances and adapting my lessons to suit them.

I am always willing to speak to students about their preferred learning style and adapt my lessons to what they feel will work best. I understand that English and History doesn’t come naturally to everyone and pride myself on my high level of patience.
