I create a safe, challenging, and responsive classroom environment. I provide students have the confidence to share their ideas freely with others. I am sensibly aware of physical and verbal student interactions, ensuring no student becomes isolated.
I actively implement methodologies designed to cater to multiple learning styles. Examples include audio, visual, and tactile prompts, group work and individual inquiry, formative assessment, role play, creative activities, problem-solving, and higher-order and Socratic questioning.
I believe in constructive inclusive teaching where the students can equally participate in lessons. Every student must get a chance to share their ideas and creativity to improve the quality of the study and make students feel included and, therefore, more confident. Chemistry is always challenging for students; therefore, it is equally inspirational for a teacher. I can make the subject more understandable and engaging for the pupils by using interdisciplinary teaching. To make it more interesting, I prefer to use real-life analogies so the students can link everyday examples with the concepts I try to teach.
I worked as a Science learning advisor, an ALF, and a mentor for selected groups of students. I supported internal and external students coming to our college for work placements. I assisted internal student ambassadors and gave training to them on laboratory techniques, including scientific concepts, calculations, and scientific theories, which will help them with their employability.
