Selene Attias

I have been playing the violin and singing since I was 5 years old. I have learned and will teach through freestyle playing as a warm up and reading sheet music. I will teach my students to become familiar with each strings sound to help them tune their violins independently eventually. I will also go through the scales of each key and help them get familiar with the sounds of each note. For this I will teach them solfa, singing a scale of a key they choose and then finding it on the violin. We will look at finger placements and learn to read sheet music by finding each note’s place on the violin and assigning a number based on how many fingers placed on the string make that note.
