I have been a full-time teacher for 25 years, teaching mostly in grammar schools and private schools. I first began tutoring pupils about ten years ago, and have tutored a small number of pupils in between being a full-time teacher. I am a Physics specialist, and can teach Physics from Key Stage 3 to A Level (and at a stretch, I did teach Baccalaureate Physics for 2 years as well) , but have also often been asked to teach Biology and Chemistry to GCSE as well. I can deliver lessons online, through Zoom or TEAMS, or in person. My aim is always to try to understand the principles of Physics and Science, and then try to apply that understanding to a wide variety of questions, whether at Key Stage 3, GCSE or A level. I try to make Physics interesting! Occasionally this involves looking at outside the immediate syllabus, to where Physics is relevant to our lives. (Einstein said 'Physics is everything, the rest is mere details', and who are we to argue)! I am passionate about Science, and the greatest feeling as a teacher, is when some of that enthusiasm is ignited in the pupils that I teach or tutor. To those pupils who may be struggling, and don't intend to do Science beyond GCSE's though, I still say 'just pass it, get the best mark that you can possibly get, and then move on with your lives! Either way, I will do my best to get you there.
