I have been an Educator since last 17 years, teaching students aged 4-12 years. My expertise lies in teaching English Grammar and Creative Writing. I focus on grammar skills as well as topics like story writing, poetry writing, story elements, instruction texts(live cooking), descriptive writing, paragraph writing. I am very comfortable with online teaching using Google meet. I use various pedagogies like videos, presentations, online tools to teach in my class. A lot of hands-on activities are also planned for better understanding of the concept as for very young aged students, hands-on activities are a must. If a child is lacking in phonetic sounds, the concepts may be cleared. As a teacher, I believe in an environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking and a love for learning the subject. To achieve this, I prioritise individualised instruction that addresses each student's strengths and challenges. I believe in providing engaging and challenging learning experiences that promote active participation, collaboration, and reflection. My strong belief is- 'If a child is happy coming to class, that is my greater achievement as a teacher'.
Highlights- Phonics- teaching to read with long and short vowel sounds
Story Telling- enacting and sequencing the stories, depicting stories through art
Story Writing- writing stories using various prompts and story elements like character description, settings, plot(rising and falling actions) Grammar Concepts- various concepts like articles, verbs and tenses, adjectives, adverbs etc. along with sentence formation using brilliant words
Instruction Texts- sequencing the text with hands-on activities along with cooking activities using command words
Poetry Writing- learning different types of poetry writing like Rhyming, Acrostic, Limericks, Silly, Haikus, etc
Descriptive Writing- learning to describe a picture using different vocabulary
Paragraph Writing- writing a paragraph on given topics, words and situation.
