Lessons with me are collaborative. I'll work as hard as you do - and then some! I'll look out for plays, films, monologues, etc. to help further the depth of your ability. I work from a text-based background - using the text, and the facts available, to inform the character and find room to play. It all starts with asking the right questions from the text because, once you know all the answers, you've got a beautiful shell of a character into which you step and flesh out fully. Working with freedom of voice and physicality to differentiate between characters and how they interact with others. I also believe that, culturally, art is related, so we'll talk about your interests, your inspirations, and how that can influence your choices you make when you're acting. And, most of all, I want it to be enjoyable. You don't pursue a career in the arts unless you love it and want to enjoy it, and that's exactly what I want to aim for.
