Hello potential students!

My name is Seb, I am 21 years old, and I hold a Bachelor's in Economics from Durham University.

In my opinion, the tutoring process should be personalised to your needs and used in support of your own independent work. I strongly believe that the best way to learn mathematics is through practise questions, this works at all levels.

In the first lesson we would discuss your goals, areas of the curriculum you want to focus on and work out the most productive tutoring process for you.

In a typical lesson, the methodology of my tutoring begins with a short outline of the lesson and the topic covered.

Then I will explain the methods of tackling questions which you would face in examinations.

Lastly, we will both go through practise questions taken from previous examinations (depending on the exam board). This will enable you to have a go on your own and then I will step in to show how you can improve your accuracy and direction to maximise your marks. We will compare this to worked solutions and importantly the mark scheme which shows what each question is really looking for.

In addition, I will provide 'homework' for the student along with worked solutions so they can practise in their own time. Tutoring is best performed alongside independent work.
