I am a native Italian speaker and a professional and certified Italian tutor. I have a PhD in Italian studies from the University of Warwick. In these 10 years of teaching I have gained a lot of experience in teaching Italian, both in presence and now mostly remotely. During the years of my PhD I also taught Italian at University level.
I like to vary my lessons a lot and adapt them to my students, their preferences and personal needs. I use various specific books on Italian for foreigners, but in addition to these I also use newspapers articles, narrative passages, videos, listening and customised exercises. Moreover, if the student is interested, I like to mix the study of the language with that of Italian culture.
I have been part of the board for both the PLIDA and the CILS exam so I am trained to help students of Italian in achieving their certificates,

What matters most to me is that the students have a good time and find the teaching process light and interesting. These aspects are fundamental for learning a language, the rest will follow.

My preferred platform is Zoom. I normally share my screen and take notes digitally on the pages. At the end of the lesson I send a handout with the exercises I have done plus homework exercises. With me, you will not have to get any materials as I will provide them with everything they need.
