I would make presentations around the specific topics, of course sticking to the syllabus and what needs to be learnt. By going through the presentation it will keep the students engaged. Then after, if they have any questions they can be answered and hopefully get the students to understand. Then after, I would do a quiz to ensure the students have paid attention to the presentation. The quiz also allows for student engagement and for them to test their knowledge. After doing the quiz, we can focus on their weaknesses when it comes to the specifics of the course. After that homework can be given out and any further last questions can be answered.
Personally, I think teaching with a certain sense of order and respect is needed. For their to be a clear plan and objective for the student, so that the student knows what he or she is doing, also with a strict regime the student has a clear plan and confidence for his or her exams. Also, there should be room for creativity and not just for students to memorise facts or knowledge. They should be passionate or at least enjoy the subjects that they are taught. This can be done by being an enthusiastic and passionate teacher, as well as rewarding students for their good work. I hope that the teaching can benefit their grades, their overall knowledge and anything else they aim to work on. I look forward to anyone who is interested in this.
