Overview of a Graphic Design Lesson

In a typical graphic design lesson, I focus on a hands-on, project-based approach tailored to the student’s goals and skill level. Here’s how I structure a session:
1. Introduction & Goal Setting
• Begin by understanding the student’s objectives (e.g., mastering specific tools, improving design principles, building a portfolio).
• Set clear, achievable goals for the lesson or series of lessons.
2. Conceptual Understanding
• Explain the key design principles (e.g., color theory, typography, composition) relevant to the topic.
• Use real-world examples and case studies to illustrate how these principles are applied.
3. Software Training
• Demonstrate techniques in industry-standard tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
• Guide the student through exercises, such as creating a logo, poster, or social media graphic, to apply these tools.
