I have been teaching young children and have an excellent track record of being aware of the ever-changing need for education in society. In 2021, after completing my B.Sc. in pure science, I enrolled for a professional two-year initial teacher training course called Bachelor of Education. Under my current ongoing teacher training, I have been fortunate to have been allowed to get classroom experience and work as a full-time science and maths teacher under my internship program for 16 weeks. While working with children in real-time, I have developed many transferable skills and qualities such as - real-time problem-solving, behavior management, time management, and interpersonal skills that I believe could aid my teaching immensely. Achieving a distinction in my Bachelor's not only has brushed up my maths and physics fundamentals, but also has provided me with advanced scientific knowledge that would make me competent and confident in tutoring and solving the queries of school students effortlessly. I can tell with certainty that the likelihood of a pupil not being able to grasp the concept after exposure to my teaching methods and techniques is fairly minuscule. I am familiar with the current UK national curriculum and have taught pupils at the GCSE equivalent level. My lectures include -
- Interactive and demonstrative live video presentations
- Inclusion of 3D geometrical models for intuition building
- Provision of regular practice worksheets and handouts
- Real-life examples
- Multi-way approach to solving questions
- Inductive and deductive approaches to solving
Due to the current shortage of physics and math teachers across the UK, I strive to work responsibly in delivering scientific knowledge via the STEM approach to ensure that the flame of inquisitiveness towards science in young minds never blows out.
