I have extensive teaching experience, particularly in the fields of medicine and science. My background includes:
- Medical Education: Throughout my last 2 years of medical school, I taught medical students in years 1-3 of their training, both on the wards and in the classroom. My focus was on developing their understanding of physiology and medical concepts, ensuring they grasp both theoretical knowledge and clinical application.
- Secondary Education Tutoring: I have tutored GCSE students in physics and biology, helping them to improve their understanding of difficult topics and exam performance. This involved preparing structured lesson plans, and engaging with pupils on an individual basis to identify areas of strengths and weakness to optimise learning. I give clear and constructive feedback to promote progression and develop confidence, and assist students with their critical thinking and learning abilities to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Primary Education Tutoring: I have tutored both individual students and groups from years 3 to 11 in maths and science, tailoring my approach to suit each student’s needs and abilities. My experience spans teaching students of mixed abilities, focusing on subjects such as maths, biology, chemistry, and physics. This tutoring has been conducted both online and in-person, covering content within and beyond the school curriculum.
- Specialised Exam Preparation: I have a particular emphasis on preparing students for medical school entrance exams and interviews, helping them to excel in their assessments and gain admission to their desired schools, having gone through the process myself.
