Hi! My name is Sasha and I am am going into the second year of my French and Spanish undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford. My education in the French system until year 9 means that I have experience being taught fully in that language, which has greatly aided the bilingualism that I have cultivated from my French family.
I studied French, Spanish and English literature at A-level and achieved A*A*A respectively, and achieved 9 A*s and an A at GCSE. The grade of my A* in French A-level was 98%, and I got full marks in its literature paper. Furthermore, I achieved a high First (75%) in the French grammar and translation paper of my 1st year exams at Oxford.
As well as being orally fluent, I am also very comfortable with my academic writing skills, as well as my translation into and from English (which is a skill encouraged both in school and in university).
I am experienced because I used to tutor younger students at my school in French. I would usually help them with their homework, and then branch out from there based on their weaknesses. Because I have studied English Literature (and literature is a big part of my university degree), I can also help understand literature, and prepare for any more advanced exams in that area. I focus mainly on GCSE and A-level students (or younger), but am open and willing to tutor anybody, even if they do not have anything concrete to work towards (such as exams).
