I tend to modify my teaching style based on how you as a student prefer to learn, although generally I like to incorporate a range of modalities in my lessons - videos, pictures/diagrams, verbal explanation, alongside in-class and homework tasks to support your learning. Depending on what you are working towards, these tasks may range from practice exam questions, writing essay drafts, or further reading. I will use our first lesson as a chance to get to know you better, and we can decide on your learning objectives from the outset, so that we can work towards clear goals and monitor your progress. :)
Having been a student myself not so long ago, I understand the pressure and stress that can come with studying. Therefore, I want to make you feel relaxed and confident in your work, taking a fun approach to learning by keeping things as interactive as possible. If appropriate, I am also happy to discuss career options too, as I am knowledgeable about the different pathways available to you as a Psychology student, having completed an undergraduate and now Masters degree in the field.
