I believe that the ability to solve challenging problems is directly linked with the passion one must put into the subject they are learning. My goal is to help students find that passion within mathematics, so that they can be enthusiastic about the learning aspect. A keen learner excels academically. I am a person who is determined to achieve a successful life and works hard to reach a targeted goal for the future. My hope is that I can portray this mentality onto students. I will start by testing the potential student in order to find areas of weakness or specific topics that they are less keen on. Together, we shall then make a vast improvement on these topics as I alter the student's way of thinking about problems so that it relates to them and that they can ultimately achieve more. I teach at GCSE (ks4) level or below. I will set a moderate volume of work for the student to complete between lessons about the content of the previous lesson. From a personal perspective, I achieved 197/200 in IGCSE Mathematics which was a grade 9 and a gold certificate in the intermediate maths challenge. I believe that my confident communication skills will help in my teaching and ability to relay knowledge onto the student.
