I have recently finished my A-levels from King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys. I achieved an A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and an A in Chemistry. In GCSE's, I achieved all A's and A*'s. I achieved a Grade 9 (A*) in Physics and Maths. I have won awards in Maths and Science for my achievements. I am planning on doing Physics at University.
One of the reasons I am excited and passionate about tutoring students is that I see teaching as a potential career path for myself moving forward. Another reason I am passionate about tutoring is the fact that there's a great deal of joy and excitement that you get from helping to build stepping stones for a student's intellectual development. Over the years, I have built up important life skills and experiences that have enabled me to become a proficient tutor. My past experiences include being a numeracy ambassador at School, tutoring Further Maths and tutoring Physics. All these experiences have given me valuable insights into tutoring. My other work experiences include working at a company called 'Adelan', working at Food trucks, and working at a Post Office. All my past experiences in tutoring and other areas have greatly developed my communication skills which are of great importance when it comes to tutoring. I believe I am a good tutor since I have a lot of patience and understanding with students, I try different ways to explain to students, I am motivational and constantly try to instil the philosophy that "Hard work beats talent". I will maintain a positive body language throughout my sessions, which I think is crucial in a professional tutoring environment, to make sure that students are encouraged and feel comfortable to ask me as many questions as they can to further enhance their understanding of the material. Alongside my tutoring, I can instil good values and habits regarding work ethic and time management and share my own personal experiences. that students can take with them in the future. I will make sure that my lessons are well planned, engaging for students and they get to try a lot of questions as a way of reinforcing their understanding. If a student wants to reschedule a session, I will try to be very flexible. In conclusion, I am very passionate about tutoring and I wholeheartedly believe I have what it takes to be a great tutor.
