Sarah O'brien

I've been qualified and teaching as a full time English language teacher for 5 years. I also have experience teaching younger children with maths and English.
I have gained so much during this time, seeing my students progress.
Here are some of my current classes:

Maths and English: children aged 4-9.
- these classes follow the UK curriculum. I help children improve their understanding
to help build their confidence.
I provide a range of materials to keep the children interested and the lessons fun.

Phonics classes: suitable for young children.
- I pre-teach the phonic sounds and tricky words, before listening to the student read and then checking their understanding of the book.

Speaking, listening and reading: suitable for older children and adults.
- Harry Potter is the current favourite. This class helps students perfect their pronunciation. I help with intonation, explain any new vocabulary and I can check their reading comprehension.

Conversation classes: suitable for older children and adults.
- I provide vocabulary, idioms & phrases and questions for the conversation topic. I help with any errors in pronunciation, sentence structure and grammar.

Other classes are designed to suit the students needs using my own material or/and text books/ the internet to find the right resources.
