Sarah Mcmurray

I hold a BA (honours) in Psychology from the University of Strathclyde in which achieved a 2:1. This qualification has provided me with extensive knowledge on the subject in a range of areas within psychology including, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, biological psychology, social psychology and research methods. I have developed valuable skills in studying, essay writing and researching.

Currently, I am engaged in a psychology teaching placement at Glasgow Kelvin College, where I focus on National 5 Psychology. This experience has equipped me with valuable insights into effective teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for students.

My Level 3 Teaching and Learning qualification has further honed my instructional skills, enabling me to tailor my teaching approach to the unique needs of individual students. I am dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages active participation and critical thinking.

Having worked extensively with young people and teenagers, I understand the importance of patience, adaptability, and clear communication in the learning process. My ability to connect with students on a personal level has consistently resulted in improved academic performance and increased confidence.

I have a highly flexible schedule, which not only allows me to accommodate the diverse schedules of students but also ensures that I can dedicate the time and attention necessary to facilitate effective and engaging tutoring sessions.

I can adapt my lessons to fit the needs of those at different stages of learning. Whether you are someone who has never studied psychology before or someone who is doing their Highers/A-levels.
