A tutee turned tutor! I am currently an undergraduate student studying optometry. I do also offer lessons in Maths and English too but only to GCSE level. I am very friendly and extroverted and want to create an enjoyable, supportive and productive tutoring experience. I aim to build a relationship with the student where they feel comfortable to ask questions and to finish each session feeling slightly more confident and accomplished. I have previous tutoring experience in maths and sciences, as well as drawing on my own experience of being a tutee in science and maths.

Whether the session is topic specific or broader subject exam practice, I can adapt my tutoring style to the individual and make understanding and learning the subject as enjoyable and accessible as possible - rather than hating every minute and sessions feeling like a chore.

Starting the session with objectives of what we aim to cover or address will help ensure a feeling of accomplishment from the time spent working together. Using varied materials and sources to cater to preference and differences in learning styles, we should be able to produce a more confident student.
