Sarah Barltrop

I’m a friendly native teacher with an English Language degree from Cardiff University, a CELTA qualification, and three years’ experience.

I have helped students from all over the world progress their English, pass IELTS exams, and go from complete beginners to C1 level, having taught in academies in London, Spain and Oxford. I love seeing you all progress!

In the first lesson we’ll discuss your goals and I’ll create a study plan focusing on key skills, whether it’s speaking, writing, listening or reading. We’ll expand your vocabulary and grammar in a fun and engaging way with a communicative focus.

We will always work towards your individual goals, whether that’s IELTS, improving your English for your job or University, or simply for fun!

I have in depth knowledge of English from my three years at university, professional CELTA training and years of experience. I also learned Spanish, so I understand how tricky the language learning process can be.

For a bit about me, I love travelling and I have visited over 50 countries, which is another reason I love teaching English because I get to meet people from all over the world. I am very approachable, understanding and I will push you to your maximum potential. I love dogs, running and trying out lots of new restaurants. I have a British accent so will teach you British English.
