I find that using visual and interactive teaching methods have been the most successful in ensuring that students retain maximum knowledge and store in in their long term memory.

Through my experience working in both primary and secondary schools, I have seen how powerful visual and interactive teaching methods can be. These approaches make lessons more engaging and help students remember information for a long time. When students can see and interact with what they are learning, they understand it better and are more likely to store it in their long-term memory.

During my work experience in schools, I spent the most time observing teachers across different subjects and year groups, carefully noting the strategies that make the best results. It was clear to me that when lessons incorporate visual elements—such as diagrams, videos, mind maps, and interactive whiteboards—students grasp complex concepts more easily and recall them with greater accuracy. Similarly, one-to-one learning where the teacher knows each student's strengths and weaknesses in the subject has shown to be successful when it comes to revising for tests.

I have developed an ability to identify the learning styles of individual students and adapt my methods accordingly, ensuring that each student benefits from a tailored learning experience. Whether it’s using visual storytelling to break down literary texts or to make engaging exercises to refine writing skills, I have seen firsthand how these methods lead to noticeable improvements in comprehension and analytical ability.

My extensive classroom experience has given me the confidence and expertise to deliver high-quality tutoring, helping students not only achieve academic success but also develop a genuine appreciation for English Language and Literature.
