About me:

I am a language and culture enthusiast and have been sharing my knowledge and passion with students, as a classroom teacher and tutor, for 8 years. My love for languages comes from my passion for bridging cultural gaps and making communication across borders more accessible and enjoyable. I have been fortunate enough to travel the world with my linguistic skills!

Helping individuals get excited about learning languages and motivating them to set and reach their goals brings me great joy.

About my lessons:

I offer one-hour lessons to students studying towards French and Spanish GCSE examinations, to cover all four components of the language (reading, writing, listening and speaking).

My teaching philosophy is that each student is unique and must have a stimulating educational environment which caters to their needs. Hence, I apply an immersive teaching style to my lessons where students are active in their learning process. For languages this often means a student will be listening, speaking, reading and writing in the target language, as much as possible, to develop fluency.

My immersive language approach is heavily complimented with exposure to GCSE past papers to develop confidence with exam styles and techniques for best success.

The initial lesson is an opportunity for me to assess my students' language capabilities in order to create personalised schemes of work so that each lesson is tailored to address the individual's language needs.

Regular feedback is provided to parents and guardians.

As a fully qualified MFL teacher, I have 8 years experience tutoring for AQA, Edexcel and iGCSE and provide all my own resources.
