I offer engaging and interactive lessons for KS1 and KS2 pupils in English and Maths following the National Curriculum. I have extensive experience working with children with various learning needs such as Dyslexia, ADHD/ADD and ASD.

Sessions usually last for 1 hour. I tailor each session to the needs of the pupil, so I will assess your child to see what the gaps are in their understanding and how best to fill them. Then I will create a programme of learning for them. This first session is free!

Each session is different and depends on the child, but a typical English session might be: A fun game to warm up, some direct teaching, for example on answering comprehension questions, then the student will be give the chance to try out what they've learned independently and be given immediate feedback and guidance as they go.

A typical maths session might be, a fun game to warm up and recap learning from the previous week. Then using a variety of methods we'll learn the skill such as long division and have lots of practice.

Sessions are broken down into small chunks to make them manageable for the child. I use a variety of resources from physical objects, high quality texts, videos, online games and powerpoints.

I love working 1-1 with children and watching them grow in confidence as learners. I have over 20 years experience teaching in primary schools.
