Hello everyone!
I'm a young italian woman who's been living in London for 7 years. I graduated in BA early Childhood with education and QTS in 2021 and taught for a couple of years as a Nursery teacher in an outstanding school. I am passionate about languages and foreign cultures and currently studying Japanese privately.
Dialogic teaching and interactive learning strategies are at heart of my interests in relation to pedagogy and teaching and learning. I highly value the importance of children's personal, social and cultural background in order to create a sense of belonging in the class and allow for inclusive and differentiated practice. I am a passionate learner myself and I love researching new creative ways that best suit the students' needs. I have decided to take a break from teaching to explore tutoring and allow myself to experience a deeper sense of teaching in a freer environment.
I am a native Italian speaker and got my A levels in Italy in a High school of languages where I could learn some school level French and German too. During the first free lesson I like to understand my student's story and needs to work out learning outcomes and goals and come up with a plan together. I like using PP, games and visual aids to better support scaffolding and retrieve of information but I always prefer to discuss methods in the first meeting in order to understand student's needs as I highly value communication and relationships too. My rate is 18/h.
