I am currently a first year Law student. Over the course of my GCSEs and A Levels, my love of science has immensely grown. I know exams can be daunting so I hope I can help teach you some techniques I used to help me throughout. My aim with students is to help them achieve their goals and help them realise their potential in Biology. My first lesson with all students focuses on developing a tailored support plan. I ask my students to rate their confidence in each topic, we discuss target grades and methods for revision. I keep up to date with the latest research in productivity and I am able to teach my students the best ways to retain information from the lessons. Thereafter, the format of lessons would differ depending on the learning style of the student; I use diverse teaching methods, including interactive discussions and problem-solving exercises to ensure effective learning. Additionally, I help dissect complex concepts into simpler, digestible material for my students. My lesson style is focused on getting a full understanding of the concept, then practising exam questions as much as possible. Having recently studied Biology at A Level (WJEC), I can offer targeted and sensible suggestions on study habits and exam technique as a result of being fully apprehensive with the current curriculum. Throughout my A Levels, I tutored Biology at GCSE level, as well as French and Mathematics. Resultantly, I am able to affectively communicate with students and can offer the best advice and tuition possible. Very importantly, I aim to make the learning experience enjoyable for students.
