Sara Mikail

Hi! My name is Sara and I'm a student at the University of Southampton studying BSc Economics with Data Science. I completed my A levels last year with A* in Maths and A in Further Maths. I've enjoyed Maths since primary school and I wish to spread the fun! I am half Japanese and would be happy to teach Japanese and English as a foreign language. I like to use an interactive whiteboard to teach Maths as it allows me to see the thought process of the student and to send the slides later if the student wishes. I have been a tutor for over a year and have found the experience very fulfilling and wish to add more to my work experience. I aim for student-led lessons where I cater to the students needs and personalities in addition to a safe environment where the student feels safe to open up about insecurities on the subject that we can tackle on together.
