My name is Sara and I am an English tutor who achieved A* at GCSE and A-Level English Literature.

Through my knowledge of literature I will help you reach your potential and achieve your desired grades.

Throughout the course of my lessons I will teach you:

-How to perfect your exam technique.
-How to perfect your essay writing and planning technique.
-How to analyse literary texts effectively.
-How to plan and write essays for unseen prose and poetry questions under exam conditions.
-How to understand your set poetry, prose and drama texts in depth.
-How to ace key marking objectives so that you are able to achieve the highest grades possible.
-How to gain a real grasp of Literary devices, form and structure.
-How to gain a deeper understanding of literary context and history, such as key literary movements so that you are able to access the highest grades.

I will also be able to mark and provide key feedback on any essays you complete outside of sessions.

My goal is to ensure every one of my students enters their exams confident and secure in their essay writing skills, literary knowledge and exam technique.

My lessons are super interactive and take place over zoom where I will often use a whiteboard to teach. I also like to use google docs where I will create a shared document and we can work on writing together at the same time. I have worked with various different exam boards too at GCSE. :)
