Hello!

As a private psychology tutor, I provide tailored lessons designed to meet the unique learning styles of each student. I recognise that everyone processes information differently, so I intend to integrate the four main learning styles—visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic—into every session This allows for a comprehensive and flexible approach that suits the needs of each learners.

- Visual learners may benefit from diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to break down complex psychological theories.
- Auditory learners can engage through in-depth discussions and explanations of key concepts
- Reading/writing learners will be encouraged to actively engage with texts such as empirical research articles, take detailed notes, and create written reflections on the topics covered.
- Kinesthetic learners will be able to participate in hands-on activities such as case study simulations, role-playing scenarios, and applying psychological concepts to real-world examples.

My sessions are interactive and adaptable, whether we are delving into core topics of psychology, exam preparation, or applying real-life examples to theoretical concepts. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel confident in their ability to engage with the materials presented.

Personally, I bring solid experience from my roles as a student peer mentor and teaching assistant, where I supported students with additional needs, such as those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I’ve worked closely with students to develop study strategies, particularly for psychology A-level, resulting in improved class engagement and academic success.

Additionally, I’ve led academic webinars for the Sussex Learning Network, providing guidance on study techniques and managing academic workloads, such as burnout management. My experience also includes planning and facilitating Zones of Regulation group interventions, helping SEND students with emotional and behavioural regulation. These opportunities have honed my ability to listen, explain, and adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
