Having brought a student from grade 5s to grade 9s, I have recognised the importance of understanding the material, which is best developed through active and flexible teaching that takes the student’s questions and knowledge to the forefront. With in- depth structures and useful revision methods, I can help develop the base-line comprehension, which inevitably makes the harder sections of English all the easier to take on.
My tutoring method includes:

- Understanding effective analysis by engaging with texts
- Mini understanding tests to gauge weak areas to improve
- Low risk and active engagement encouraged, with the student’s questions taking forefront
