Experience:In teaching of a Topic says family, you have to use a real object, for example the students to use as a family both nuclear and extended for them to understand very well. For the nuclear family I need a male and a female and two male and one female,in this exercise the male and the female represent the father and the mother and the two male and one female represent the children under the nuclear family, which means it consists of father, mother and their children, while the nuclear family consists of father, mother, children, grandfather, grandmother, uncle, nephew, brother, sister, aunt, niece and so on.
In this examples we need a lot of students to represent the extended family,it is also known as compound family.Because,in this context, because extended family is a larger family unit than the nuclear family.
In the African, the extended family is very important, unlike in the other parts of the world such as Europe and America, when parents are old in Yoruba land for example,it is the duty of the children especially the eldest ones to take care of them.
In most cases, sons and sometimes daughters especially the eldest in the family or most economically viable children in the family take care of their old aged parents.
Lastly, some stay back homes to contribute to their livehood
