Over the last 9 years I have gained a variety of experience of successfully delivering, teaching and learning to a range of learners on Health and Social Care courses at The Sheffield College. The courses include: NCFE Level 1 Award in working with children (Work Start Programme), Skills plus Level 1 Award in Childcare, Edexcel BTEC Extended National Diploma in Health & Social Care, NCFE Foundation Studies, Edexcel Work Skills programme, and Level 2 Health and Social Care apprenticeship programme.
In relation to my skills I consider myself to have both an imaginative and innovative approach to teaching and delivering. I work hard in trying to ensure I keep teaching sessions interesting and engaging and welcome learner and peer feedback and the value of reflective practice. Being able to use IT skills has been vital to my work and I am able to use Emails, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel throughout my knowledge of IT applications and the internet. I regularly use the interactive white board in my lessons for PowerPoint presentations. Excellent organisational and administrative skills have enabled me to carry out my current duties smoothly. I have set up Google classrooms and Google Drives for my learners which helped during remote working in I have a good working knowledge of equality of opportunity and always seek to practice this in my teaching and learning
