My lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to the unique needs of each student. I believe that understanding and mastering mathematics is not just about memorising formulas but also about developing problem-solving skills and a deeper appreciation for the subject.
Each lesson typically begins with a brief review of previous material to ensure the student has a solid foundation before moving forward. From there, we dive into the core concept for the day, breaking it down step by step. I use a variety of teaching aids, such as visual aids and online tools, to make abstract concepts more accessible. I also emphasise real-world applications of maths to make the subject more relevant and engaging.
Throughout the lesson, I encourage active participation and problem-solving. I present a mix of guided practice problems and independent exercises, allowing the student to gradually take on more responsibility for their learning. Regular feedback and step-by-step explanations ensure that the student not only understands the solution but also the underlying concepts and logic.
I have experience working with students of all levels and areas of maths, including algebra, calculus, geometry, linear algebra, statistics and probability theory. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as this is a natural part of the learning process.
Ultimately, I strive to build my students’ confidence in their abilities; I aim to make my students enjoy and appreciate the usefulness and versatility of maths and equip them with the skills they need to succeed in maths.
