For my GCSE and A-level lessons we will primarily focus on developing your ability to coherently demonstrate critical thinking skills through writing. For those of you who struggle with history or find difficulty getting excited about history, I aim to inspire you through my passion to see to aspects of history to are relevant to you and explore these themes further throughout the curriculum which you may be studying.

In addition to being a qualified teacher of secondary school history, I am also a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language, and so consider myself an excellent choice of tutor for children who use English as their second language. I am able to teach English independently, or incorporated into hisotry.

As both a qualified language teacher and a speaker of Mandarin Chinese (self-taught), I am also an excellent choice of tutor for children who are native speakers of Mandarin Chinese, taking their secondary schooling or university education here in the UK. Additionally, I am able to provide Mandarin lessons to those who are interested. As someone who has been through the process of learning Mandarin firsthand, I am familiar with the challenges involved in learning this fascinating language, and will provide insights based on my own learning experience.

With regards to my specific experience in education, I have taught GCSE and A-level (as well as year 7 to 9 secondary) history in three different schools in the UK. I have taught adults at Vicotria School of English (British Council accredited Centre of Excellence), and have taught in Foreign Language and International Schools in China.
