In my lessons, I first explain each topic visually using diagrams, real-life examples, and clear step-by-step breakdowns, so students can truly understand how the maths works and why it matters. I believe that seeing maths in action makes it much easier to grasp and remember. Then, we go through an easy example together, building understanding and confidence by tackling it slowly and carefully, making sure the student feels supported every step of the way.
After that, the student will attempt a couple of similar questions on their own, with my guidance and encouragement whenever they need it. I create a safe, positive environment where mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process, helping students to grow more resilient and independent. Once they feel ready, we move on to harder, exam-style problems to stretch their skills and prepare them for success under pressure.
I achieved an A* in A-Level Maths, and I bring both strong subject knowledge and a deep passion for teaching to every lesson. I have experience tutoring GCSE maths students of all abilities, from those striving for a solid pass to those aiming for the top grades. My teaching style is clear, friendly, and patient, always tailored to suit the individual needs and goals of each student.
More than anything, I believe every student has the ability to succeed with the right support. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to inspire them to believe in themselves, to see maths as something they can master, and to develop confidence that will stay with them far beyond their exams. Together, we will turn challenges into strengths and make success a reality.
